Why Teletherapy?
Louise has been offering Teletherapy over the past 2 years now and has found it a very effective form of service delivery. It is well supported by research. Teletherapy “offers great opportunities to increase the accessibility, cost-effectiveness and family-centredness of services, to best support families of children”.

Occupational Therapy Australia supports the use of Telehealth and endorses it as very valuable tool and the efficacy has positive evidence.

With Teletherapy, through therapy and coaching, families and children feel they have high levels of engagement and they become agents of change for the achievement of their goals.

Teletherapy will be complimented with face to face sessions offered at Tamworth on a regular basis, so Louise can meet families in person.
When and where are the sessions held?
Face to face assessment and therapy will take place at the Tamworth Clinic, on a regular basis. The weekly Teletherapy sessions are provided online. Flexibility and convenience of service delivery is important for busy families. Online therapy can be organised outside school hours (before or after school) with the child in their home or during school hours at school/ preschool organised with support staff at the child’s school (consent and organisation required by both Principal and parent).
